Make sure you’ve analyzed the data in your story correctly?
No question is too small—none too big. Our volunteer advisors have spent months helping journalists report out complex stories. Just drop us a line explaining what you’re looking for; give us a reasonable deadline; and we’ll respond—usually by the end of the day.
As a public service, we receive many requests and sometimes they pertain to the same data set, recent study, or similar. Be certain that we will respond promptly to each request that comes in, regardless of whether another journalist has made the same, or a similar request.
Communications between the requester and advisory board member(s) will not be shared in any public or private form, unless the requester gives permission. But you should be aware that the advisory board may share the object of research/inquiry (study/report analysis/other) with more than one requester. Advisory board members are also available to serve as expert sources for media interviews.
This service is to help journalists and writers analyze data and statistics; it does not provide answers to questions like “how many people were struck by lightning in Florida last year?”
