Recreation Pool Now Open
After a year-long renovation project, the Recreation Pool opened on June 17th. The pool’s renovation transforms the previous footprint into two pools: one for laps and one for general recreation. It also includes full renovation of the bath house and a new sand volleyball court.

Campus Recreation and Unions is a great place to spend your free time. It’s also where you can find a job, often helping your fellow Aggies. More than 800 student employees and volunteers represent the department. Here are some choices for you:
Recreation Pool
The Recreation Pool (also commonly referred to as just the "Rec Pool") has reopened to students looking to lounge, play and swim. The new facility features an enhanced activity pool, new competition pool, renovated locker rooms and a sand volleyball court.
Activities and Recreation Center
Ready to get your sweat on? Head to “the ARC.” Features include basketball and racquetball courts, cardio, weights, classes, a climbing wall and an indoor track. Our program provides personal training and group exercise classes.
California Aggie Marching Band
The heart of Aggie Pride, the Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh has supported our athletes and entertained the campus since 1929. The band is committed to camaraderie through excellence in musical entertainment.
Equestrian Center
Our center operates an English and Western riding program for UC Davis students. We offer boarding facilities, a 45,000-square-foot covered arena, a regulation dressage court, four barns and several pastures.
Outdoor Adventures
It’s adventure time: Sign up to hiking, camping, backpacking, whitewater rafting and kayaking trips to natural areas in California and beyond. Outdoor Adventures also offers comprehensive healthcare classes in CPR and first aid.
Aquatics
Want fitness or relaxation? Campus Recreation and Unions has a pool for you. Swimming is great low-impact exercise for anyone, from novices to performance athletes. If you would rather lounge by the water, head for the Rec Pool.
Games Area
This recreation mecca, located in the basement under the UC Davis Stores, is currently being renovated. By fall 2016, enjoy the improved bowling alley and billiards area, and a new console-based gaming and TV lounge.
Craft Center
You’ve got 90 options each quarter to get creative, including ceramics, woodworking, screen-printing, glass, flame-working, jewelry, welding, photography,and textiles. Beginners and experienced crafters alike are invited.
