Even when our buildings are closed, the Smithsonian is here for you from home with vast digital resources.
The Smithsonian offers eleven museums and galleries on the National Mall plus six other museums and the National Zoo in the greater National Capital Area. In New York City, we invite you to tour two museums in historic settings.
Not near a Smithsonian museum? Look for exhibitions and affiliate museums in your community.
The Smithsonian's National Zoo and the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia, are open to the public. Free, timed-entry passes are required for entry. All other Smithsonian museums remain temporarily closed. Outdoor gardens are now open.
