The most recent Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer was released on March 12, 2020. According to the report:

  • Overall cancer death rates continue to decrease in men, women, and children.
  • Overall cancer incidence rates, or rates of new cancers, are leveling off in men and increasing slightly in women.
  • Healthy People 2020 targets were met for lung, prostate, breast, and colorectal cancer death rates.
