This year’s edition assesses the progress of global targets and goals related to forest biodiversity and examines the effectiveness of policies, actions and approaches in relation to both conservation and sustainable development.
This year’s focus on sustainability reflects a number of milestones, including the twentyfifth anniversary of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, and the maturation of several relevant SDG indicators.
Food markets will face many more months of uncertainty related to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the agrifood sector is likely to display more resilience to the crisis than other sectors. Featured in this report is a comparison of the “Great Lockdown” to the “Great Recession, as well as revisions to the FAO food price indices.
This working paper suggests that the use of appropriate and well-maintained tools can mitigate cutting accidents. It concludes that training in planning, risk assessment and site preparation are key for the establishment of a safer work environment.
